Saving Lives: Safe and Supportive Schools

Four Tennessee high schools in a variety of settings, suburban Hendersonville, rural Campbell and White counties, and inner-city Nashville, have made great strides in increasing school supports for students, increasing school safety, and providing positive learning environments.  See in this documentary as students, principals, and teachers from these schools explain how they custom designed an approach to create relationships that will head-off trouble before it begins.  From advisory at Hendersonville High School to Flex Lunch at Campbell County High, students are building relationships with their peers, teachers, and administrators.  With these relationships in place, the sooner teachers and students can stop worrying about safety and security and get back to the business at hand: teaching and learning.
