The department is now accepting applications for advisory panelists to serve on the statewide textbook and instructional materials review for the following subjects: social studies; world languages; and CTE: marketing, finance, and business management and administration.
Panelists will gain a deeper understanding of Tennessee Academic Standards and will be tasked with evaluating instructional materials for statewide adoption. Application information may be found here for social studies, here for world languages, and here for CTE. The application window closes Jan. 12, 2018. Compensation will be based on number of materials reviewed by each panelist.
There will be two days of training in Nashville on April 28–29 and possibly two additional days in Nashville for publishers’ hearings and commission meetings (dates TBD based on need).
